"Marcello Nicodemo has written, with "Una grossa fregatura", a brave and true book, necessary, telling about generations and environments so different, that here as in everyday life unfortunately do not find the words to communicate.
He found them, and there isn't a comma out of place or one page too many."

My books

My books

These are the books I have published so far. They are novels, apart from "Voci dal Purgatorio", a survey-book on Abruzzo prisons, written together with Mario De Benedictis, out of print and now practically impossible to find. To read the presentations just click on the covers. To order the books you can send an e-mail to the Oltreleparole.net publisher at oltreleparole.net@gmail.com (for "Ferragosto in famiglia" and "Nel fuoco") and you will receive them cash on delivery, or you can have your bookseller do it. "Una grossa fregatura" and " Di lì a poco sarebbe piovuto" can be purchased in bookshops or online, also on the website of the publishing house www.chiaredizioni.it without credit card. I rarely write short stories, here you can read two of them, going to the section below: "Diverso e uguale" (finalist at the Premio Teramo in 2007) and "Lo spermatozoo solitario" (part of the novel "Di lì a poco sarebbe piovuto").
Biography

Biography

I was born in Chieti in 1966 (on 30th July if you want to give me your wishes) and I had a rather happy childhood.

For a few years, while playing and studying Italian Literature at University, I ran a jazz club in Chieti, my own town. I graduated in 1994, with a thesis on Andrea De Carlo's novels.
After my graduation, I travelled a little...

Short Stories

I rarely write short stories, here you can read two of them, clicking on the titles: "Diverso e uguale" (finalist at the Teramo Prize in 2007) and "Lo spermatozoo solitario" (part of the novel "Di lì a poco sarebbe piovuto"). “Whatsapp Mamadou?” is instead an experimental chat-shaped story, the result of the work of a class of thirteen-year-old students of mine at I.C. Delfico in Montesilvano and my great patience in directing and coordinating them. The kids were also very good at acting it live.

Something about me

“Marcello Nicodemo ha scritto, con “Una grossa fregatura”, un libro coraggioso e vero, necessario, raccontando generazioni e ambienti tanto differenti, che qui come nella vita di ogni giorno purtroppo non trovano le parole per comunicare. Lui le ha trovate, e non c’è una virgola fuori posto o una pagina di troppo”.
